What is Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction?
Mindfulness is developed by purposefully paying attention in a non-judgmental way, in the present moment.
MBSR brings together meditation techniques with psychological research for improving physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. The course is taught by LifeConnect Director, Psychotherapist and trained Mindfulness Practitioner Cheryl Assuage.
During the 8 weeks, you will learn to modify or enhance your emotional state, thoughts and behaviour. The techniques taught may have a deeply healing effect for people coming to terms with their suffering in sadness, fear, resentment and anger.
Who is it for?
We welcome people who want to develop more peace of mind and are prepared to commit to improving their own health and well-being.
What is involved?
When: The final eight week course for 2018 starts Monday 15th October 2018 from 6:60 to 8:30pm. The course consists of 8 Tuesday evenings 6:30pm - 8:30 pm and one all day silent retreat.
